Orofacial myofunctional therapy is most appropriate beginning at 4 years of age through adulthood with success. Ages 0-3 can benefit from a similar strategy using sensory oral motor intervention strategies better known as pre-feeding or feeding therapy. Pre and post-frenectomy release care is recommended for all ages to ensure optimal success.
